Elementary Science Workspace

Welcome Steering Committee & Science Specialists! Please select your page from the left-hand margin.

Thank you for helping the Elementary Science Team collect video clips of learning cycle elements. We need video clips (2 - 3 minutes) of:

  • Teacher introducing the engaging scenario, question, problem and/or prediction and prompting students to expand their thoughts or document their prior experience/background knowledge
  • Students working with science kit materials in small groups and collecting data in their science notebooks
  • Teacher-led discussion following an investigation - making meaning conference
  • Students reflecting or writing conclusions or revisiting predictions
  • Teacher assessing for understanding in different ways
  • Students engaged in reteaching or enrichment activities from C-MAPP
  • Students in discourse with one another around the data collected from an investigation
  • Integration of literacy, math, or social studies with science


Adding a video clip:
  1. Select your grade level page from the left-hand margin.
  2. Select 'Manage Wiki' from the top of the left-hand margin.
  3. Under the 'Content' heading, select 'Files'.
  4. Select '+ Upload Files'.
  5. Browse your files and select the video clip to upload.
